Plug adapter power cords that have a C14 plug on the male end and a female end that mates with several different types of plugs needed to be converted to fit into a C13 receptacle.  For example, a C14 to C19 plug adapter would be ideal if you have a C20 plug or inlet on a device needed to plug into a power strip that has C13 receptacles. The C19 female end of the cord would mate with the C20, while the converted C14 end would fit into the C13 receptacle.
